DescriptionView of three public buildings along Main Street in Middletown. The first building on the left is the "Court House" erected in 1832. Second is the "Brick" Bank which dates to 1785 followed by the 1st Congregational Church. The next building, the town "Custom House," which was made of "Chatham Stone," i.e. Portland brownstone. Lastly, just across a side street is the "Central Hotel" with a tavern sign in front. Sketches of the Church, Bank, and Custom House are above the main drawing.
