DescriptionView of Norfolk from the east. The road in the foreground leading into town is the Albany Post Road, later Rt. 44. It is lined with "Elms" on the left and "Maple" on the right. "Apple" trees are in the field in the left foreground. In the village, notations identify the "Academy," the houses of "Burrell Sage," "Wm. Black Druggist," "Joseph Battle Esqr." "Mr. Robbins" and "Wm. Schwenk," and indicate the presence of "4 or 5 stores." The large Church in the center is the Congregational Church. Details of two buildings appear above the main drawing.
