DescriptionView of the principle street of Suffield. To the immediate left a tavern sign is prominent. Central to the sketch are two unidentified buildings the first with a cupola and the second a church with a tall steeple. Framed by the branches of a large tree in the foreground several buildings can be seen to the right, the largest of which is possibly the Connecticut Literary Institution.
