DescriptionView of Portersville and the Mystic River. The river is the boundary line between Groton and Stonington and is transversed by the Mystic Bridge. Several tall ships are in view. A windmill is at the right. A "Tavern" and the Mariner's Church ("M. Church") are marked. "Candle wood hill" and "Lantern Hill" are also labeled to the right. Although a note refers to the "Mystic Bridge" (which Barber in his text describes as a toll bridge), the bridge itself is not clearly visible.
