DescriptionView of the birthplace of Nathan Hale in Coventry. The house, a two-story Colonial dwelling with numerous additions to the rear, surrounded by what appears to be a stone wall. A small lean-to is labeled "shed" and a tree beside the house is labeled "Apple." To the right, beside a road labeled "Main Road," "Young Maples" are planted in regular rows. A note at upper right reads "Henry R. Watrous about 5 years out of possession of Hale family."
