DescriptionThe large three-story building in the center is Bacon Academy, founded by Pierpont Bacon. Immediately to its right is the Congregational Church. To the right of the church, beyond some trees, Bulkeley Hill (inscribed "Buckley Hill") appears in the background. To the left of the Academy, a "Conference Room" is labeled and a prominent tavern sign appears before another building. The open area in the foreground is the Colchester town green
