DescriptionView of the green in the central part of the village of Cheshire, looking north. The road at the right corresponds to Connecticut Rt.10 (Highland Avenue). The Congregational Church is at the left, the Episcopal Church is at the right, in the background. Several other buildings, apparently private houses, are between the two churches. The trees lining the green on the left are identified as "Elms." "Maples" are to the right foreground and an apple tree is in the left background. A tall flagpole topped with a liberty cap is in the right foreground
