DescriptionView of a large waterfall, with a broad expanse of river in the foreground. The buildings above the falls are probably the Salisbury Iron Manufacturing Co. Trees on the left are identified as "Pine" and "Cedars" and a "mountain" is labeled in the background. This area was called Canaan Falls until 1840 when the railroad station was named Falls Village and that name was adopted by the community
