DescriptionRound, cylindrical, ironstone mug with printed wording to both the left and right of the handle. The mug has a molded and applied handle and a foot with ribbed decoration. The printed, black enamel lettering on the mug is in a Gothic-style font. To the left of the handle, it reads, "Mount Olive/ African Methodsit/ Episcopal Zion Church/ Waterbury,/ Connecticut/ Harrison D. Bonner/ Pastor in Charge". To the right of the handle, it reads, "100 years of Christian/ Service 1879-1979/ Waterbury's Oldest/ Black Institution". There are a few lines of crazing on the sides of the mug and the bottom of the foot. A few spots of the black lettering have worn slightly.
