DescriptionLooking west on State Street from Commerce Street during Bulkeley Bridge Construction. There are workmen on the left side of the street regrading and building sidewalks. At far left of image is the corner of Commerce and State Streets. There are many advertisements on the buildings including a sign for a show at Silvestor Z Poli's theater, a show at the Hartford Opera House, a Barnum & Bailey broadside poster and Union Club coffee. Businesses shown include: Leonardo Diano's barber shop on the corner of Commerce and State and Harry Schwartz's Cafe.
