DescriptionDrawing of the demolition of buildings on what is probably State Street in downtown Hartford, Connecticut, from a slightly elevated perspective. The sidewalk is covered, with four figures on the pedestrian walkway. In the center is the building or buildings being demolished. A crane is carrying a piece of building material in its jaws. On the left are signs for Northeast Savings, A.C. Lawson and a bakery . In the background are other buildings, including the Sage-Allen building with its rooftop sign.
NotesDate Note: The date is based on the year the State House Square Project, which demolished most of the buildings on State Street, was completed.
