DescriptionPhotographs of Russell Cheney, his friends, and travels. Several photographs show Cheney painting at an easel or drawing in a sketchbook. In one photograph he wears boots and is smoking a pipe. Several photographs appear to have been taken in Europe, others were probably taken in Manchester or Marlborough, Connecticut, or elsewhere in the United States. A postcard depicts the Avenue Victor Hugo in Cassis, France. One photograph depicts the garden of a chateau. One photograph depicts a hay wagon. In one photograph, two men sit on a stone wall with mountains in the background.
