DescriptionInformal group portrait of three young men, two young women, and three girls, all members of the Cheney family or close relations. In the back row on the left is Emily "Milly" Cheney (1864-1952), standing next to Ellen "Nell" Cheney (1862-1938). In the middle row, left to right, are: Harriet "Hart" Cheney (1867-1938), "Ned", who is probably Edward Moyle Cheney (1862-1888), and Elizabeth "Bess" Cheney (1865-1898). In the front row, left to right, are: Frank Cheney, Jr. (1860-1957), Helen Cheney (1868-1937), and Charles Adams Platt (1861-1933). Frank and Charles are slouching, with their legs extended and their ankles crossed. Charles has a slight mustache.
