Description[Wrought iron door latch, the design consists of three circles of increasing size attached in a row at the top and the bottom, with small holes which were used to attach the latch to the door. The handle connects the two groupings of circles.]
Label TextA blacksmith named R. P. Butrick fashioned this wrought iron door latch for Ethan Allen's home in Salisbury. Allen was part owner of an iron works in the town before the Revolution.
