DescriptionA girl and a dog pose in the interior of a house. The girl wears a striped dress with eyelet trim on the collar and cuffs, a broad-brimmed hat trimmed with flowers, leaves, and ribbons, and a pearl necklace. She holds a pair of eyeglasses in front of the eyes of a large long-haired, long-eared dog, possibly a poodle. Printed drapery is in the right background. The elaborate gilt frame of a picture or mirror is in the left background. A small bouquet of flowers, possibly roses, is on a shelf beneath the frame.
