DescriptionA young woman sits in an upholstered chair in the interior of a room. She wears a dress with eyelet trim on the collar and jewelry, including a pearl necklace and a bracelet, and she holds a young child in her lap. The child holds a dog, probably a King Charles spaniel, and a tabby cat. A vase of flowers, probably roses, is on a small oval table at the far left. A patterned drape is in the left background. Patterned wallpaper is in the right background.
