DescriptionA long-legged marsh bird stands at the right. Its right wing is broken and dragging, its feathers are ruffled, and its beak is open. A long-haired, long-eared black and white dog, possibly a springer spaniel, is at the left with its hindquarters in the water of the marsh. Grass and reeds grow at the right and in the left background.
