DescriptionDouble portrait of two men in military uniforms. The men overlap at the shoulders. The man in front wears a partially buttoned coat, open at the collar and a neck scarf; he has little hair on the top of his head and longer hair at the ears. The man behind wears a vest out of which protrudes a neck scarf and an unbuttoned coat; his hair is short but loose and somewhat wavy and puffs out at the ears. A banner curves over the heads of the two men and reads: "Genl. GREEN & Majr. SHEWBRICK".
