NotesSubject Note: The covered bridge across the Connecticut River at Hartford was constructed in 1818. It was destroyed by fire on 17 May 1895 and replaced by the stone arched Bulkeley Bridge in 1908. This painting is one of a pair with 1967.56.1 showing the old and new bridges.
