DescriptionA young girl is seated on a tiled floor beside a large window. She wears a dress with a sash tied in a bow. A cat drinks from a bowl of milk held in her lap. On the right, a small, long-haired, long-eared dog, possibly a cocker spaniel, sits on its haunches begging. A two-masted sailing vessel in a bay with mountains in the background is visible through the window at the left.
