DescriptionA large wooden table sits in the middle of a room lined with books. The table is covered with a thick, decorative tablecloth that has tastles on the short ends. On top of the cloth sits an assortment of books and, to the left, a large metal trophy or statue. The back wall of the room features a massive, ornately carved fireplace. Several vases and jugs sit on the mantelpiece. Natural light filters into the room from the right, falling on the table and carpet. The room depicted is the parlor of the Knight Dexter Cheney House, which was located on Hartford Rd. in South Manchester. The house was knocked down around 1920.
