DescriptionView of a group of seven people sitting on steps in front of what is probably the Knight Dexter Cheney house in South Manchester, Connecticut. The group is divided in three rows, with two women in the back, a man, a woman and another man in the middle, and a boy and a man sitting in the front. There are double doors at the top of the steps, which have large glass windows in their upper halves. Vines grow along the house on either side of the door. The shadow of the photographer can be seen on the ground in the foreground.
NotesAccording to cataloging worksheet in object file, the Knight Dexter Cheney house on Hartford Road in South Manchester was knocked down in about 1920, and the Philip Cheney house was built in the same location.
