DescriptionView of Sarah Griffin Cheney standing on the edge of the brick porch of a large house. Her back is to the camera. She is wearing a long silk wedding dress. Sleeves are not visible. She wears a hat that has long decorative elements handing down on both sides of the face and a very long veil. The veil appears to be in two layers. One layer is spread out on the grass to the left and the other is spread to the right. There are two chairs sitting on the porch of the house, one on either side of the front entrance. The double doors are both open. There is a lantern hanging from the roof of a portico, over the porch.
