DescriptionHannah Latimer Cheney stands, bent over, on the lawn of the Horace Bushnell Cheney House. She looks as though she is just getting up. There is a piece of cloth or paper on the ground to her right. On the porch of the house behind her there is a woman sitting in a chair, reading to a child on her lap. This is probably Mary Pierson Cheney and either Roger Williams Cheney or Stephen Pierson Cheney. There is a large shrub and several bushes along the edge of the porch, to the right of where they are sitting.
