DescriptionTwo story colonial house with stone foundation, additions built out to the back, and attached to a barn. There are several leafless trees. Wooden and wire fences are visible. There is a street in the foreground.
NotesSubject Note: The structure was built in Plainville, CT by John Cooke, who operated it as a tavern until 1826. It was also used as a stagecoach stop and blacksmith shop. As of 2002 it still stands in the same location, and is operated as J. Timothy's Taverne restaurant. The present structure still very closely resembles the image on this postcard.

Date Note: Dated by using the format and postage stamp box on verso of the postcard.
