DescriptionNine men stand outdoors in a grassy field. Tall trees can be seen far behind them. Four boys sit in the grass in front of the men. The boy on the far left, Ward Cheney, sticks out his tongue. The boy immediately to his right holds what may be a rugby ball. Just off frame to the right, a dog sits upright, looking up at the man standing next to him. One of the dog's paws rests in the lap of the boy sitting furthest to the right. The image was taken at the time of Elizabeth "Bessie" Cheney Cowles' wedding. Wells Wadsworth Cheney, Howell Cheney, William Coates Cheney, Ward Cheney and Clifford Dudley Cheney are all present.
