DescriptionMen on horseback and a horse-drawn coach are passing by a wooden reviewing stand or grandstand. Spectators stand in front of the grandstand and crowd the opposite side of the street. Flags fly overhead. The Connecticut River, the Bulkeley Bridge, and trees on the East Hartford shore are visible in the background.
NotesSubject Note: The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on 8 December 1907 and to the general public on 21 December 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on 6, 7, and 8 October 1908. (Finlay 1/31/2014)
