DescriptionA standing man helping a seated man drink from a large slver loving cup. The men are outside in the shade on a grassy lawn beneath a large tree.
NotesSubject Note: Frank Woodbridge Cheney's seventy-sixth birthday party at his home in Manchester, Connecticut was attended by members of the Sixteenth Connecticut Volunteer Infantry who were with him in Andersonville Prison. They presented him with a silver loving-cup to commemorate the occassion. While the inscription on the envelope claims that the party was a celebration of Cheney's seventy-fifth birthday in 1907, an article in the Hartford Courant confirms that the party was in 1908 on his seventy-sixth birthday.
