DescriptionImages: On side 1, punchbowl, centered against white background. On side 2, indecipherable. No underlying imagery.
Construction: Single board, hand-sawn at top and bottom to create decorative pediment and skirt profiles, with single, molded, horizontal rails and turned posts. Board is set vertically through long mortises cut through rails. These mortises are slightly shorter than the width of the board, and the resulting notches or shoulders in the signboard prevent movement. The thick, bead-molded rails are single-tenoned through the turned posts. Marks from a four-part chuck are still visible on the bottoms of the turned posts. The skirt has a semi-circular profile.
Surface: This sign displays only a single layer of paint on both sides.
