Subject Note: The SS John W. Brown is a Liberty ship (cargo ship) used in World War II. After her service as a troopship during the war and immediately after, she served for a short time as a cargo ship. From 1946-1982, she served as a training ship for New York City's Metropolitan Vocational High School. In 1982, she assumed her new role as a museum and cruise ship and is berthed in Baltimore, Maryland.On View
