DescriptionForty-six Polaroid photographs of Union Place and Union Station in Hartford, Connecticut, taken mostly in winter. Some photographs include The Hartford sign over the entrance to the train station is shown, or a Trailways bus sign. Several of the photographs look down onto the traffic outside the station from an elevated viewpoint, and show passenger cars, fire trucks, a Trailways bus, police cars, and a delivery truck outside the station. In one, the fire trucks have extended a ladder to the elevated platform. Two photographs show automobiles in motion, including one taken at night. The railroad tracks appear in a couple of photos, and in one, a moving train is shown. At least two photographs were taken from Welling's apartment. One interior view shows the information desk inside Union Station with an arrivals/departures board. An exterior shot provides a closeup of the decorative wrought ironwork outisde the station. Some photographs include snow.
