DescriptionHand puppet of Johannes Brahms at age 20 composed of a cloth body and papier-mâché head with painted features (probably using watercolor) including red lips, blue eyes, and light brown eyebrows. He has light brown synthetic hair, pink painted cloth hands, and arms and legs constructed using cardboard tubing. He wears a white cotton shirt tied at the collar with a black cotton ribbon and a black cotton jacket with black felt cuffs and two black plastic buttons down the front. His pants and the sleeve that conceals the puppeteer's wrist and arm are of black cotton. Probably used with puppet of Clara Schumann (2013.182.15) and puppet of Johannes Brahms at age 64 (2013.182.17) in play, "Johannes Brahms-5 acts from his life."
