DescriptionMen and women appear sitting on bleachers in Riverside Grove posing for a picture. In the center of the image there is a gap in the people where the stairs of the bleachers are. Bleachers in the left and right rear are also empty. On the foreground of the image there is a wood surface. In the background of the image there are tall trees. At the top of the bleachers there are some people sitting and standing who may or may not be part of the group being photographed. In the front row there are some people holding American flags and pennant flags that say, "G. Fox & Co." Additionally there are two American flags draped over the front bench (where no one is sitting) on the right of the image. The Governor’s Food Guard Band, which played at the event, (according to the article in the Hartford Courant) is sitting in the front row in the center in their unifirms and holding their band instruments. The bands drum sits in front of the bleachers to the right of center. The drum says, “Governor’s Foot Guard, Hartford Conn."
