DescriptionMen are seated around small round, set tables in a banquet hall. The tables in the immediate foreground are empty and some men are standing in the back of the room near the left and right rear walls. Electric lights hang from the ceiling. On the left rear wall there is a large window or mirror that spans most of the visible portion of the wall. On the right rear wall there is a clock and eight pennants that read: "Phoenix Fire," "Factory Ins. Assn," "Conn. Gen. Life," "Hartford Fire," "London & Lancashire," "Mut. Benefit Life," "Aetna Life," and "National Fire."
Object number1995.36.542
NotesSubject Note: The pennants hanging on the right rear wall bear the names of different insurance companies, so presumably the banquet is a gathering of people associated with the insurance industry..
