DescriptionWooden doll trunk, covered with canvas painted brown. One oak strip encircles the trunk, and three more are laid in rows across the top of the lid to provide reinforcement. These strips are attached with nails and brass-plated L-brackets. Wide, ferrous metal strips painted black cover the trunk edges, including the lower edge of the lid, which fastens with a hasp at center front. Leather carrying straps on the sides of the trunk are now missing. The interior of the trunk is covered with plain paper, now very yellowed. The trunk has a removable divided box fitted into the interior.
