DescriptionDoll's outfit, consisting of a matching dress (.a), jacket (.b), and bonnet (.c). All three pieces are made of very fine, very pale, rib-woven lavender rayon. The sleeveless dress has a skirt of this fabric; it is very full and gathered into the waistline. The bodice of the dress is made of white net, decorated with one vertical row of machine-made bobbin-type lace up the center front. The neckline is high and round and edged with lace; the armholes are also edged with lace. It opens at the center back and fastens with two metal snaps. The top edge of the skirt is bound with pale blue tape; the stitching is done with blue thread.
The bolero jacket is decorated with six non-functioning, tiny mother of pearl buttons on either side of the center front opening. The neckline is low and rounded. The long sleeves are gathered at the top of the shoulder; they are straight at the wrist and are trimmed with lace along the inside edge of the wrist binding. The opening edge, which continues around the neck and lower edge, is faced with a narrow pale blue bias strip.
The brim of the bonnet is stitched with a very slight flare from the crown, which is flat around the sides of the head. The back of the crown is flat and horseshoe-shaped. The seams are top stitched with blue thread. Blue ribbon rosettes are stitched above the blue ribbon ties.
