DescriptionDoll's dress of cotton printed with a pattern of variously sized and scattered white spots on a pink background. The fabric has a very fine woven rib. A bertha trimmed with narrow, white bobbin-type lace is stitched around the shoulders. The neckline above it appears like an inset, with three vertical rows of lace stitched up to the narrow band collar, which is also covered with the lace. Underneath the bertha, the bodice is gathered into a straight yoke in front and back. The bodice is gathered also into the waistband, as is the skirt. The skirt is embellished with two rows of narrow tucks above the deep hem. The neckline is high and round, and is finished with a narrow stand-up collar covered with lace. The sleeves are gathered into the armscye and into the cuff. There is extra, drapey fullness in the sleeve at the top of the wrist in the fashionable dress style of about 1903. The center back dress opening fastens with five small mother of pearl buttons.
