DescriptionA truck parked on a dirt road has a cloth banner that reads "HALE'S PEACHES." In the back of the truck are stacked wooden baskets full of peaches. A man wearing a dress shirt, trousers, a bowtie, and a hat stands in front of the truck and holds peaches in his hands. A young boy sits on the hood of the truck and wears a cap, a collared short-sleeve shirt, and three-quarter length breeches. A man wearing a suit is partially visible inside the truck. The front license plate of the truck reads "C17587". Additional empty baskets are on the ground behind the front of the truck.
NotesSubject Note: J. H. Hale of Glastonbury, Connecticut was a major peach grower in the early part of the twentieth century. Peaches from the Hale orchards were sold both nationally and internationally.
