DescriptionA young woman wearing a dress with lace trim kneels on a cushion trimmed with braid and a tassel. She wears a brooch at her throat. Her hands are clasped in prayer, and her elbow rests on a large book, probably a Bible, which is on a small table. Also on the table are flowers in a vase and a small box with a lock. Drapery tied back with cords is at the left and right. A leaded window is in the right background.
