DescriptionA girl sits on the lap of a man who is seated in a wicker rocking chair. Standing behind them is a woman. The girl and the woman wear dresses, and the man wears a suit. A sideboard and china cabinet are in the background. Cut-glass vases and plates are displayed on the sideboard. A patterned carpet is on the floor.
NotesSubject Note: This is the same girl pictured in 1995.36.1641 and 1995.36.1642. The same server and china closet are pictured in 1995.36.1642. (Agins 8/1/2013)

Subject Note: The man and woman in this photograph are presumably David F. Armstrong and Helen Armstrong. The girl is their daughter Muriel. The distinctive wicker chair appears in other photographs of the interior of the Armstrong family home in Groton, Connecticut. Muriel Armstrong was born June 15, 1914. (Finlay 11/20/2013)
