DescriptionAn elderly man is seated in an armchair in the interior of a room, apparently a bedroom. He wears a nightcap, a jacket, a striped vest, and a shirt. A young woman stands beside him with her back to him. She wears a bonnet, dress with a laced bodice, an apron, and a shawl. A bed with bed curtains is behind her. At the left, a bottle, a cup, and a glass are on a table. A wooden box is mounted on the wall. A pulley and counterweight are above it.
