DescriptionLight from windows at the left illuminates the interior of a garage or industrial building. Automobiles are parked inside the building. Men are standing beside one of the vehicles. One man is holding a broom. Some areas of the floor are wet. A row of metal lockers is on the right.
NotesSubject Note: The building in the photograph appears to be an early parking garage. Initially no provisions were made for parking cars in Hartford, but by the 1910s the Automobile Club of Hartford was demanding better facilities. The debate continued into the 1920s and probably beyond. (Finlay 11/2/2013)
