DescriptionA brick commercial building with large plate glass store windows houses the Thomas A. Stewart Company. A sign above the left window reads "EVEREADY SPECIALTIES". Below the windows are advertisements for "Thor Vacuum Cleaners / Special at $27.50." On the left display window is painted "$1.50" in large print. A sign draped across the left window reads, "ORDER NOW / FOR A FEW DAYS ONLY / Thor ELECTRIC CLEANER / $1.50 DOWN / BALANCE $1.00". The sign draped in the right window reads, "THE FAMOUS[...] / ELECTRIC VACUUM [...] / SPECIAL TER[...] / ORDER TO-DAY". There appear to be lights in the shop windows and the exterior of the store appears to be dark, suggesting that the photograph was taken at night.
NotesSubject Note: The Thomas A. Stewart Lighting Company also appears in 1995.36.1137. (Agins 8/16/2013)
