DescriptionAmerican Cement Company property located on Fishfry Street in the north end of Hartford. The sign facing the street reads "THE AMERICAN / CEMENT CO. / DEALERS IN / CEMENT, LIME, PLASTER, / SEWER PIPE, ETC." Arranged behind the sign are stacks of company products; behind the stacks is a warehouse building and a one-story office building with sign reading "AMERICAN CEMENT CO." across the top of the building's façade.
NotesSubject Note: The American Cement Company was subsequently known as the American Masons' and Building Supply Company. The company still occupies the same space on Fishfry Street, but the buildings featured in this photograph seem to have been torn down as of 2013. (Agins 8/16/2013)
