DescriptionRed textured leather shoes, with narrow Louis heels, slightly pointed oval toes, and latchets which would have buckled over the vamp. One shoe has a cut steel buckle, but it is not original to the shoe, as it is much too big. The tongue is pointed. The uppers are bound with silk tape. The shoes have a continuous leather sole and are lined with plain-woven linen. They are straight, not left and right.
