DescriptionWooden barrel to hold ten gallons, painted blue, staves held with six metal hoops. There is a two inch bung hole on the side of the barrel. There are three paper labels on the top, side, and bottom. Label on top of the barrel reads: "DICKINSON'S / DOUBLE DISTILLED / WITCH HAZEL / CONTAINS ALCOLHOL 14% ABSOLUTE / DO NOT USE IRON FAUCETS OR ALLOW IRON / IN ANY AY IN CONTACT WITH THE EXTRACT / TRADE MARK / THE E-E- DICKINSON CO., ESSEX, CONN"; side label reads: "To remove the contents of this container the fol- / lowing must be observed: / Do not pound the staves for in so doing the / paraffin coating will be jarred off and by fall- / in g into the extract will cause discoloration. / The bung should be chiseled out. Do not use / an iron faucet. If package is to be tapped by / boring be careful that the bit does not fall into the container; the least contact of iron / with Witch Hazel causes precipitation and / discoloration. / We assume no responsibility, nor make good any / claims for loss or discoloration arising from failure / to observe the above precautions. / The E.
