Label TextWilliam Hazen Rogers was a highly regarded silversmith of Hartford, Connecticut. Rogers started off as a partner in Church & Rogers, and became senior partner in his family's silverware company, Rogers Brothers. In 1847, Rogers Brothers was the first in the country to successfully apply the process of electroplating to the manufacture of silver-plated flatware on a commercial basis.
