DescriptionSewing kit containing supplies and a removable center box. Outside of box is shiny brown leather with a gold border; overlapping flaps open to reveal center of box. Printed across outside of box, in gold, "MAGDELENE WATERMAN, / ALBANY, / N.Y.". Inner portion of kit is a spotted magenta satin with brown leather pockets. On inner portion of one flap, five ivory sewing tools are attached; one of these tools has a metal clip, engraved across, "BREVETE S.G.D.G. / M. MYERS". Center of box contains a separate removable box of the same appearance with two red tabs on either side (for removal); outer portion has a leather pocket with a piece of paper inside, containing a pencil sketch of an American flag. Within this box are multiple long metal sewing needles, a metal needle case, and a small gold cardboard box with an image of a lady printed across the front. Hidden beneath the center removable box is a green pin cushion, trimmed in brown metallic leather.
