DescriptionBust-length portrait of a man with brown hair and blue eyes. He is wearing a white shirt, black stock, and double breasted navy blue jacket with gold buttons.

Label TextAlthough the identity of the subject is not known, this portrait appears to be the work of Charles William Eldridge. The draftsmanship and composition recall other miniatures by Eldridge in the collection of the Connecticut Historical Society, especially Eldridge's own self-portrait.
