DescriptionPear-shaped enamel cigarette lighter. Pear-shaped enamel holder (a) is orange and red with a brass stem and leaf connected at top; a flower design is at bottom. Center of pear opens vertically; opening is encircled with brass, with one hindge at back. Inner portion is hallow, and securly holds lighter; engraved on brass, "EVANS".

Removable brass lighter (b) has handle, which, when pressed down, caused lighter to ignite flame. Underside of lighter has two screws, intended to allow owner to refill the fuel. Engraved across bottom, "MADE IN U.S.A. / PAT. 2,723,547".
